Nursery and Children's Rooms

This week Kelly wants to see our nurseries and kids' rooms. And since this royal family has lots of kids there will be a lot of pictures!

We'll begin this tour with Royal Fatty....His room is painted white with blue stripes. The bedding is from Nautica...white, light blue, and dark blue. And a touch of brown makes the room complete.

The small pair of blue shoes on the left were worn by all three boys.

The Duke's room has a nautical theme with bright colors. (For those of you who have been to our home before we recently switched boy #1 and boy #2 bedrooms. It made for since, furniture wise, and the boys are thrilled.

If money was no object, I would LOVE to purchase the "boat bed" from Pottery Barn Kids. It is adorable and would absolutely "make" this room. I'll keep it on the wish list. Until then...

And moving down the hall is the room belonging to The Prince. He asked to paint orange and decorate in UT football decor. I agreed to the football decor but not the orange. So, he ended up with a gray room and decorated with COWBOYS!

This is a signed picture of Troy Aikman.

This wall displays more signed pictures and a "cowboys" jersey that the king had when he was little. There's a few autographs on there as well.

And last but not least is The Princess's hideaway. Her room is painted lilac and decorated with lots of pink. This quilt bedding came from Pottery Barn Kids. It's great for incorporating lots of colors without a major "theme".

I just realized as I am posting these that all the pictures on her night stand are of her and her daddy. She loves that man more than life itself.
And of course, no little girl's room is complete without their "American Doll".

You may have noticed that all of the older children all have window seats in their rooms. They're a blessing and a curse. It's a great place for them to play, but it cuts down on the amount of wall space in each room. I would LOVE it if they opened for storage for all their toys but they don't.

This would be the prized possession to the Princess. I got this adorable kitchen at Canton (aka First Monday Trade Days) several years ago. It came with an adorable price tag, as well, but has proven to be well worth the "investment".

Another great find at Canton.

Thanks for visiting! Hope you enjoyed the tour!

  2. Adorable rooms! I love the baby's room, but I think my husband would like the Cowboys room.

  3. I love the stripes! If there's a boy in our future he's destined for the nautical themed room, it's adorable!
